Description

Chapulines brings all the energy of Latin music to the stage. Born in Ghent, but with musicians from Mexico, Cuba, Spain and Belgium, this group brilliantly fuses the sounds of the jarocho, cumbia, merengue, reggae and rumba. Their repertoire spans between original compositions and inspired rereadings, always in a festive, generous and committed spirit. Chapulines brings together the heritage of mestizo music with modern arrangements and a powerful stage presence. The result? An explosive cocktail of cultures, where tradition is reinvented with each track.
From Belgium to Mexico, London to Slovenia, they’ve rocked the stages of festivals such as Sfinks, Gentse Feesten and La Linea. At Les Polysons Festival, you can look forward to a musical celebration of Caribbean warmth and collective energy. A concentration of sunshine, talent and frenzied rhythms.
