Description

OK, we’ll admit it, we’re stepping slightly outside our usual ways to offer you a unique experience: a bio-acoustic musical immersion during which two artists will make the plants in the Jardin des Finances sing. How? We’ll explain everything!

VOX OXALYS is a duo comprising Pauline Mikó, who specialises in electronic experimentation, and Noé Beauvois on the cello. It’s not quite a concert. Instead, expect a unique sound performance that connects nature and electronics. Using sensors and electrodes connected to the roots of plants and Mikó’s body, bioelectrical signals are converted into sound via synthesizers. These sound waves are then modulated into electronic music. The result is an experimental, bioacoustic soundscape. Noé Beauvois’s cello loops accompany the singing plants. An improvised dialogue emerges between acoustic resonances, plants, technology and the body. By performing live in symbiosis with the plants, the duo also aims to strengthen our relationship with nature.

So, will you join us for a bioacoustic musical immersion ?
